What is CPR Fundraising?

It's an amazing way to raise funds: While saving lives along the way!

CPR Fundraising is similar in nature to other fundraising companies that may sell cookies, candy, popcorn, candles, and coupon books, in that we help raise money for great community causes.

That's where the similarities end. CPR Fundraising provides an online CPR training platform, used exclusively to teach lifesaving CPR skills while raising money for causes important to you!

CPR Fundraising provides the online learning platform, technical support, and customized fundraising materials to promote and manage your campaign.

There are no minimum orders, no credit cards or deposits, nothing to order, handout or deliver, and no trying to wrangle volunteers to help wash cars. We handle all of the heavy lifting, teach CPR, and make it easy to raise money.

So, what is sudden cardiac arrest?

Understanding the urgency: Bystander CPR and the battle against sudden cardiac arrest

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is when the heart unexpectedly stops beating. This is different from a heart attack, although they are related. During SCA, the heart's electrical system malfunctions, causing the heart to stop pumping blood effectively. Without blood flow, important organs like the brain and lungs can't get the oxygen they need, which can lead to death within minutes if not treated immediately. SCA often happens without warning. People who experience it may suddenly collapse and lose consciousness. There are no signs or symptoms beforehand, and it requires immediate medical intervention. The best chance for survival comes from performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and using a defibrillator to shock the heart back into a normal rhythm until emergency medical help arrives.

Does anyone know CPR?

Knowing CPR saved time and a life!

A Utah nurse saved a softball player's life after performing CPR during the game. Registered nurse Danya Topham was in the stands when 57-year-old Darren Ewell collapsed on the ball field. She immediately began chest compressions on him right on the field. After more help arrived, paramedics used a defibrillator to shock the man's heart. Thankfully, it worked. He had suffered a massive heart attack on the field that required four heart stents. Now, Ewell calls Topham his guardian angel.

We Let Our Testimonials Speak for Themselves

“This was BY FAR the easiest fundraiser we've ever done. The classes were well received by everyone. Player parents were grateful that the program removed so much of the burden they had to help raise money for the team. We will continue to use cpr fundraising in the future.”

“Yay, yay, yay! That's all we can say about Cpr fundraising! The children were excited to be able to do a fundraiser that would help put some good back into the world. It was so simple that our Fundraiser Success Manager, Zach, really was fun to work with. Thank you Cpr fundraising!”

“It's always so hard getting our volunteers motivated to help us raise some money. CPR fundraising was just great. It was super simple to start, promote, and manage this fundraiser. The best part was that we weren't trying to pull off car washes or selling candles or candy or popcorn. This was cool because the benefits went beyond our group. Awesome!”

Can struggling families and students participate in a CPR fundraising campaign?

Yes, absolutely! With so many American families struggling with the financial impacts of this economy, CPR Fundraising is ready to help.

We've opened our fundraising program to families, individuals, and students who are bearing the brunt of this economy.

Americans struggling with the end of unemployment benefits, stimulus payments have been spent and health insurance, medical bills, rent, mortgage, groceries, car notes, and light bills are all past due, they struggle to make ends meet.

Everyone can now participate as part of our expanded group programs.

What's the difference between bystander level training and more advanced trainings?

This is Bystander CPR in action...

CPR Fundraising only delivers Bystander level training. This means we've tailored our training programs to focus specifically on people who have no occupational requirement to maintain higher levels of training, like the good Samaritans shown in Brent Martin's story above.

For example, in Brent’s story, the good Samaritans that stopped to help him provided care at a Bystander level of training. The fire department and paramedics delivered a higher level of care due to the nature of their jobs and training.

We Take Learning to the Next Level!

  • Bonus Training

In addition to receiving access to online training for the duration of their certification period, participants receive one-minute skills refresher videos delivered straight to their inboxes throughout the year. These videos are designed and produced to serve as a support to the participant's memory, ensuring they maintain a strong recollection as to how to help in a medical emergency. With a link back to the relevant section in the course included in each video, participants can return anytime to brush-up as needed.

  • Save Money

In addition to two full years of unlimited course access, CPR Fundraising also provides participants with the ability to save money on future training re-certifications. We believe so strongly in the power of CPR training that we're willing to deliver it to our participants at a substantial saving. This helps ensure we can train as many first responders as possible. The more folks that receive training means the more first responders available to step-in during a medical emergency. Discounts also apply to our emergency product offerings as well.

  • FREE Training Materials

CPR Fundraising participants receive free emergency skill sheets that can be printed and posted on refrigerators, in common workplace areas such as bulletin boards or in a wallet or purse. This ensures that you always have access to the emergency skills sheets as a quick reference. Our corporate participants provide these materials to their employees and deliver short training programs, based on our refresher videos, through their facility safety and health committees.

ECC 2020 Guideline Changes

What are the minor changes to the 2020 Emergency Cardiac Care Guidelines for Lay Rescuers?

Every five-years the international organizations coordinating and promulgating guidelines for cardiac care come together to review all available evidence, based on science to determine what changes or improvements can be made to the existing guidelines.

Those recommendations are put together and distributed to the international community for distribution to their member organizations. The American Heart Association (AHA) is the representing body from the United States. Their guideline changes were minor for Layperson rescuer training programs and are reviewed here.
